  Gary Chapman (Thursday evening) is the author of 25 books, including the New York Times bestseller The Five Love Languages, with more than four million copies in print.  His radio program A Love Language Minute is broadcast on more than 100 stations.  He serves on the pastoral staff at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.    
           
    Karen Kingsbury (Friday evening)  New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury has written more than 30 novels, with more than 10 million copies in print.  She holds a degree in journalism and began as a sports writer for the Los Angeles Times and the LA Daily News, then wrote general assignment stories for the Daily News.  Karen has been writing inspirational fiction since 1998.  She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and their six children, three of whom were adopted from Haiti.

 

   
           
   

Sammy Tippit (afternoons) For decades, international evangelist Sammy Tippit has traveled to closed countries, talking to people about Christ distributing Bibles, and facing the threat of prison.  Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, he has preached the gospel of peace in such nations in turmoil as Rwanda, Burundi, Angola, Sudan, Egypt, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.  Sammy has authored and co-authored 12 books, including God's Secret Agent: An Autobiography.

   
           
   

Dennis Hensley (mornings) "Doc" Hensley is a professor of English at Taylor University, where he directs the professional writing program.  He has written six novels, more than 150 short stories, 36 nonfiction books, more than 3,000 freelance newspaper and magazine articles, several recorded Gospel tunes, one stage musical, and several scripts.  He is a member of the Guild Editorial Board.

   
           
    McNair Wilson (Saturday evening)  is an author, inventor, actor, playwright, and humorist who teaches brainstorming and personal creativity to clients as diverse as IBM, attorneys, and the Salvation Army.  He spent ten years as a senior concept designer at Walt Disney Imagineering creating theme parks around the world.  His most recent book is Donuts on the Moon: Brainstorming Secrets of a Theme Park Designer.    
       

Bill Oudemolen (closing)  has served for many years as senior pastor of Foothills Bible Church in Littleton, Colorado.  Besides writing for websites for pastors, he contributed to the book The Art and Craft of Biblical Preaching.  Bill's commentary appears in his "Mile High Rev" blog at http://milehighrev.typepad.com.

   
           
           


Registration is full-time only. Spouses are welcome to stay with you at The Broadmoor (more information about transportation and lodging). General sessions, workshops, and meals, however, are open only to registered
WRITING for the SOUL conferees. If you'd like to have your spouse join you for the meals and the special speaker presentations at mealtime please see fees below.

Conference Fee (Meals are included. You are responsible for your own lodging and transportation costs. Spouses may stay in your room for no additional charge but must purchase the special Meal/Speaker pass to eat with you.)

Cancellation Policy. Refunds must be requested in writing prior to January 5, 2009. Written cancellations received before the deadline will be promptly refunded, less a lost deposit (nontransferable) of $150. After the refund deadline, no refunds will be issued.
